About the Shiitake Awards

The Shiitake Awards, a project run by the critically acclaimed sex offender research site Once Fallen, is an "award" show for politicos, businesses, and everyday citizens who exploit sex offender issues, laws, and registrants for their 15 minutes of shame.

Every year during the month of December, people have the chance to vote on one of a number of categories. Each category has a description of each nominee and why they have been nominated. Nominations are accepted year around with the cutoff date for each year's nominees on November 30 at midnight.

"Winners" of each year's Shiitake Awards are featured on this blog and at the main page of www.oncefallen.com. For more info and lists of past winners, you can also visit the Shiitake Awards webpage at Once Fallen:
