Better late than never, right? After focusing on HR 515 for so long, on to business.

Since 2008, Once Fallen has hosted the annual Shiitake Awards, a parody "award show" that spotlights the craziest sex offender-related stories of the year. While the awards is intended to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek, it highlights the worst and most serious laws, politicians, and stories of individuals using and abusing registered citizens and the struggles they face, from registration to fearmongering to failed vigilante actions. Every year, dozens of stories are collected from across the globe and added to the Shiitake-Worthy blog, and with help of a "selection committee," the finalists for the Shiitake Awards are decided. But it is up to YOU, the voter, to decide who among the three finalists should "win" one of the seven categories.

This year, the Shiitake Awards is adding a new category -- "Keystone Cop" of the year.

Read carefully, be offended, laugh at the stupidity, and most importantly, make your selection. Help me decide who to send a Shiitake Award letter this year.

Below are the finalists for each category:

1. Which of the following new laws deserves the Dumbest Law of 2015 award?

Ohio HB-353: This bill would require registrants to give personal information on ALL adults living in the household of the registrant, presumably to warn them they are living with a registrant. Because nothing could possibly go wrong with giving the personal info of private citizens to government agents, right?

Oklahoma SB-578: Would turn over control of Oklahoma’s segregationist sex offender “nursing homes” to the state Dept. of Corrections. Because we all know how well "separate but equal" works.

Virginia HB-1366: Requires a registrant seeking the right to step foot on any school to attend any of his or her own child’s functions to petition the Commonwealth Attorney & the school administrator for that right by way of a public hearing, and the petitioner has to have the notice published in a newspaper; any member of the public can come in and testify. Because, what parent doesn't want to embarrass their kids by letting putting all this in the newspaper, right?

MI State Senator Rick Jones: In reintroducing a bill that will limit the living and working rights of registered citizens, Jones said the following --“A federal judge recently ruled that parts of Michigan’s sex offender registration law were too vague. As a result, sex offenders of all kinds can once again hang around our schoolyards. Whether the convicted sex offender is a flasher or a pedophile, they have no business hanging out at the local school playground and leering at children. It is important to clarify the law so that we are protecting our children and still meeting the federal guidelines.”

NH State Rep Dick Marston: Derailed a bill that would provide a relief from harsh registry fees for indigent registrant, claiming it would be unfair to taxpayers -- “There is a provision in the law that would currently allow the fee to be waived if the offender was unable to afford it. The (House Criminal Justice) committee determined that repealing the fee would have resulted in virtually eliminating the registry, which would be a disservice to the citizens of NH.”

Utah Republican Senator Paul Ray: If you are accused of a Sex Trafficking offense, he wants to kill you -- “I got so fed up with what I've seen. It's time to take the ultimate jump and say if you traffic a kid for sex, we're going to kill you…I'm going turn the tables on them, and say 'prove to me why you can execute for treason and I can't execute for a crime that in my world is ten times worse than treason.'”

3. Which private citizen/ wannabe vigilante deserves the coveted "Everyday Zeroes" Award for 2015?

Alexander Horowitz: Administrator from The Doe Fund, a nonprofit organization which independently owns and operates the Peter Jay Sharp Center for Opportunity, which helps the disadvantaged get back on their feet, threatened to shut down his entire program rather than accept level 2 & 3 registrants into his program. “These people need help, we’re not debating that,” says Horwitz of the sex offenders. “But they’re not going to get it in our facility.”

Doug Ennen of Hemet CA: Displayed two bright green posters in a Hemet neighborhood in an effort to warn neighbors of a man who is registered as a sex offender on the Megan’s Law database. Doug made the posters, one of which says “Child Molester Danger,” and taped them to his two cars. He then parked one of those vehicles in front of a registered sex offender’s home.

Dream Foundation revokes dream trip for Vet who is also Registered Citizen: A dream trip to the Grand Canyon has been revoked for a local terminally ill veteran after the dream-granting organization discovered that he was a convicted sex offender. *** , 62, of Dayton, received a free vacation from the Dream Foundation, a national wish-granting organization for adults with life-threatening illnesses. *** and his brother, ***, have terminal cancer. Their three siblings were to accompany them on the trip.

U-Mass Professor Mia Bloom compares "Sexual Predators" to members of ISIS: Mia Bloom of the University of Massachusetts says groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda go after young women in the West by using other young women as online recruiters. The tactics they use are similar to that of an online sexual predator: establishing a rapport and building trust. "It's another woman. She's cool. She's just a few years older. And so this is how they will initially approach," Bloom says. It's an attempt to dupe unsuspecting young women in places like the United Kingdom, France and United States into joining. But it begs another question: Are the young women who end up being recruited victims or terrorist masterminds?

Couple steals Xmas toys right under the noses of the Mass. SO Registry Board: According to police, a couple walked into the Sex Offender Registry Board and stole $1,000 worth of toys…a man and a woman walked into the officer on Congress Street, claiming to be there to pick up toys. They were not asked for their ID’s or asked to sign in. They were buzzed in and shown where all of the toys were. The two then gathered up the would-be gifts collected from a toy drive, and walked out the front door. What a bunch of idiots!

Peter Schorsch, FloridaPolitics.com: Aside from spending his days kissing up to Lauren Book, wrote an article bashing the Anti-Registry Movement’s Rally in Tally event this past April. “Critics of Lauren Book, you have the right to remain silent.”

John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou, KFI Radio (CA): Radio shock jocks who trolled California RSOL head Janice Bellucci on the air. Now, during the interview, John Kobylt mentions that not only should "regular people" chase Registered Citizens out of their communities and annoy and threaten them until they leave, apparently John claims he has actually engaged in this behavior.

Elaine Ambrose, HuffPost: Writes a bad piece called, “Monsters Are Real: Protect Your Grandkids From Sex Offenders” and calls her detractors “assholes” and claims her sources are valid after failing to present the sources. “His conviction has robbed our neighborhood of complacency and turned us into vigilantes. The carefree sounds of laughter from my childhood summers are silenced by a heavy click from the turning of the lock.”

Below is a full list of the candidates and the reason for their selection. Many are nominated but few make it to the finals. This year, a selection committee narrowed total candidates to three per category. I hope this will make voting easier and more fun.

HOLY SHIITAKES is the category for the dumbest sex offender/ Registered Citizen related story of the year. Which story most deserves this award?

1. Kevin Alan Tussy’s Google Glass Facial Recognition App --- Aside from teaching people how to circumvent the Google Glass ban on facial scanners, Tussy is using registrants to justify violation the ethics code to sell his face scanners and to try to make millions.
2. Registrant arrested for having one bullet in his car --- Nicholas Elizondo can’t catch a break. First, the guy served time for a crime he most assuredly didn't commit after being prosecuted by one of the chief proponents of the Satanic Ritual Abuse panic in Bakersfield. Then, the guy has been ridiculed for winning custody of his child after the mother was proven to be an unfit parent. Now, the guy was arrested, and his child taken away, because cops say they found a single bullet in his car.
3. NC Registrant arrested for attending church ---- Lincoln County officials say Bandy attended worship services Nov. 24 and last Sunday at New Vision Ministries in Lincolnton. Investigators say Bandy also attended Sunday school. Deputies say that put Bandy within 300 feet of the church’s day care and Sunday school classes for children. He was arrested Wednesday and released on $5,000 bond.

1. FLORIDA --- FloriDUH has won three of first five Shiitake Awards. In the wake of the Cherish Perrywinkle case and the subsequent Sun-Slantinel article sounding the alarm about "sexual predators" who dodged civil commitment and later reoffended, FloriDUH is already looking to pass a barrage of knee jerk laws. In addition, Miami just removed registrants from a homeless rights protection bill.
2. NEW YORK --- Suffolk County gave registration verification powers to the non-profit group Parents For Megan's Law and founder Laura Ahearn, at a cost of $1.2 Million a year.
3. ALABAMA --- Two politicians try each year (failing, thankfully) to pass two bad bills. Kurt Wallace seeks to pass anti-clustering laws, and Steve Hurst wants to pass a mandatory surgical castration bill for all Registrants with victims age 12 or younger.

Q1: Who is the worst media mutt of 2012? Which news media representative exemplifies the worst the journalism field has to offer, going beyond mere yellow journalism and into "brown journalism"?

1. Chelsea Hoffman (Huff Post, Gawker): Blowhard reporter for Gawker and Huff Post with a penchant for stat twisting and stubbornness in the face of facts, in addition to upselling the importance of her works
2. Chris O'Donnell (Fox 29 Philly): His story helped to get a registrant fired from his job as a Vendor at a Phillies game. This is more foul than the balls hit during the game, and O'Donnell's article strikes out with us.
3. Ned Hibbert (Fox 26 Houston): His story on parks being "magnets" for registrants living nearby lacked the "attraction" to readers, but not to us.
4. Phil Elmore (WND): Elmore's inflated statistics is only matched by the size of his mangina, as he reminds us all men are potential predators, including him. Plus his advice was extrapolated from the Cold War era.
5. Sharon Silver (Proactive Parenting/ Circle of Moms): This Silver's reporting is tarnished when she automatically assumes a man asking questions to a group of boys is grooming them and a predator, makes a big scene, then writes about it.
6. Chelsea Schilling (WND): Schilling is barely worth two bits, much less a shilling, when she proclaimed children are "raped, sodomized on Facebook" and Facebook was a "predator's playground."
7. Samantha Manning (KFOX-14): Any reporter who professes a law was intentionally confusing when written by a state legislator but then claims registrants are exploiting loopholes and allowing "sexual predators " to "slip unknowingly into communities" deserves an award. A Shiitake award.
8. Brian Bishop (WCYB 5 Virginia): Bishop should be flogged for harassing a homeless registrant for parking his RV in a Walmart parking lot, despite later admitting the law stated it was legal
9. Abbie Alford (Fox 23 Tulsa): Abbie's second appearance in the Shiitakes, this time she heckled a man for FTR in true junior high fashion
10. Ryan Luby (KETV 7 Omaha): Ran a three-part story on the vigilante troll-site Evil-Unveiled, despite protests from the many victims of the hate group. Watch his future story on the kinder, gentler KKK at 11.
11. John Turchin (South FL Local 10) Take the T off his last name and you get an accurate depiction of a reporter disguising propaganda' ad for the AWA posing as an actual news story.
12. Alan English, Sean Moores, & Kyle Martin: The three Augusta Chronicle Stooges are nyuk-nyuking it up after writing a fluff piece failing to differentiate between general and specific recidivism, then attacking and censoring opposing viewpoints.

Anna Canzano (KATU Portland OR): she is sounding the alarm over the fact Oregon only lists so-called "high-risk" offenders, something that isn't news at all, since Oregonians have known for years the registry only lists Tier 3 offenders. 1. KATU of Portland, OR: KATU has Anna Canzano in the current awards, but their incessant focus on residency laws and trying to force the closure and transfer of rehabilitation programs for registrants gives KATU a special place at this year's awards show.
2. New York Post: The infamous news rag known for their outrageous front page graphics should be equally known for their shoddy reporting, as they reported NYC was facing a "perv storm" of homeles registrants, caused primarily of social ostracism and discrimination. Such as being called "pervs" by the media
3. Dothan Eagle: Should be called the D'oh!than Eagle after allowing hate speech to be placed in their newspapers, especially when the guest writer is quoting Bible scripture to justify suicide and murder.

4. Indiana Federal Judge Judge Tanya Walton Pratt: Upholds a blanket ban against registrants' internet use based on "governmental interest" despite most rulings stating the opposite
5. Colorado Republican Doug Lamborn: He supports the coal industry; he accuses an opponent of "disseminating CP" when the opponent shows a pic of a child bathing in dirty water, despite the pic not being graphic
6. Tony Rackauckas, Orange County California D.A.: Trying to use sex offender park bans to further his political career, while deflecting the victims of police brutality under his watch. Look for a big for state AG in the near future.
7. Debra Young Maggart, TN Rep: Drafted a civil forfeiture law on the basis that "Sex offenders are usually very clever people. They're very manipulative people and so they're always looking for a way for whatever law we put in place"
8. Paula Stitz, AR registry consultant: Former small town cop fired for ethics violations, then gets promoted to work on Arky's state registry, like a bad fairy tale.
9. Bobby Jindal, Louisiana Governor: Making yet another appearance in the Shiitake Awards, Jindal is livid over a federal court decision that struck down a pet project of his-- banning former offenders from using social networking sites, vowing to fight all the way to the Supreme Court, as well as a spot on this year's awards show.

1. Emily Miner of Oswego, NY: She is circulating a petition to have a 9-year-old-kid kicked out of school, proclaiming him a sexual predator. Maybe we can petition to get her a Shiitake?
2. Savannah Deitrich, KY: A teen who drank at a party and had sex, claimed rape, and created a blog to shame her attackers, all in direct violation of a court order. Well, the Shiitakes also runs a blog exposing people, what a coincidence!
3. Brandon Benhamin Mau, Ft. Collins, CO: This man is a career criminal arrested for kidnapping and attacking a man with a knife, mistaking him for a sex offender. Ever notice how many here physically attacking registrants are people with lengthy records?
4. Brian Oei, Trumbull, CT: Puts the bull in Trumbull, as he was caught harassing a registrant via Twitter and posting personal info about his victim online, then ran as he was exposed
5. Laurie Ann Martinez of Folsom, CA: Went all out to falsely accuse a man of rape including getting a friend to punch her in the face. She could use a Shiitake Award for that, it is made of iron.

1. James Thomas, AL rep: The 69-year-old Thomas was charged with having sexual contact with a 17-year-old honor student in his office at Wilcox-Central High School in Camden in November 2010.
2. The victim, now a 19-year-old college student, testified that Thomas kissed her and forced her to touch his "private parts."
3. Carlos Bustamante, Orange Co., CA: Specifically, prosecutors have charged Bustamante, who was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Monday by D.A. investigators, with 12 felonies and four misdemeanors, including: Six felony counts of false imprisonment, three of assault with the intent to commit a sexual offense, and one count each of stalking, attempted sexual battery by restraint, and grand theft by false pretense, and one misdemeanor count each of battery, assault, sexual battery, and attempted sexual battery with a sentencing enhancement allegation for committing the offenses as a result of sexual compulsion and for the purpose of sexual gratification, according to a District Attorney's Office news release. He voted to the Santa Ana Park Ban prior to his arrest.

Texas Law allows Department of Family and Protective Services allows caseworkers to add your name to the sex offender registry without a trial: 

This law is so messed up, State Rep. John Zerwas, R-Katy, had to propose a bill, HB 1194, which would allow suspected abusers greater due process to challenge their inclusion in the registry. Before a name goes into the database, Zerwas wants the accused to be properly notified, have a copy of the record and access to swift appeal to a state administrative hearing judge.

Missouri's Hallowed Grounds Act will ban sex offenders from burial in national cemetaries:


The "Hallowed Grounds Act," introduced by Republican Rep. Vicky Hartzler, would prohibit an individual who is classified as a Tier III sex offender under the Sex Offender Registration Act from being buried at a veterans or national cemetery. A Tier III sex offender is one whose offenses against a child might include the crimes of aggravated sexual abuse or abusive sexual contact."While veterans guilty of capital crimes have justly been denied burial in our national cemeteries, veterans guilty of sexual abuse of children are still entitled to these honors," Hartzler said. "Allowing these offenders to rest in fields of honor is an insult to America's military heroes. Furthermore, it is an outrage to the victims and their families."

 AL HB 378, Alabama's SORNA Act:

• Registered sex offenders who are homeless are required to check in once a week.
• Those who do day labor must provide local law enforcement with details about where and when they will be working each day.
• Sex offenders will have to pay a $10 fee every time they register. That same fee will also be charged for every move.
• A travel permit is required through local law enforcement if a sex offender plans to be away from their residence for more than three days or if they plan to travel outside the area.
• Those sex offenders who have been classified as sexual predators or convicted of sexually violent crimes will be required to wear a Global Positioning System (GPS) for 10 years, at their own expense.
• Some youthful offenders and juveniles, those charged with more serious sex crimes, will have to register for a lifetime instead of 10 years.

Missouri's Amy Hestir Student Protection Act: "Under a new Missouri law, teachers who "friend" a current or former student on Facebook could soon run afoul of state codes...The new law states that teachers "cannot establish, maintain or use a work-related website unless it is available to school administrators and the child's legal custodian, physical custodian, or legal guardian." The legislation also bans teachers from using "a nonwork-related website that allows exclusive access with a current or former student."  I understand why you'd want to discourage parent-teacher sexual relationships but this law takes it too far by implying that any time treachers and students talk its for sex.

 Florida's HB 251, the "Walk in Their Shoes Act" (a.k.a. the Lauren Book Act): The Shiitake Awards just wouldn't be the same without some representation from Florida, would it? This is the Lauren Book law. What makes this bill dangerous is that this bill allows prior convictions or accusations to be admitted as evidence in trial, which all but guarantees a former offender will not get a fair trial. Evan Emory gets 60 days for silly YouTube video: Evan Emory will spend 60 days in jail and two years on probation. Emory posted a video online that made it appear that he was singing a sexually explicit song to first-graders. The story goes like this-- this guy got permission to film first graders while he sings a child friendly song. Then he edited the video to make it look like he sang a sexually explicit song to the kids (which he didn't). It may have been in poor taste but it isn't criminal considering there have been similar videos out there. At least he doesn't have to register as part of a plea. Instead, the prosecutor should be in jail for wasting our time on this story.

Ector County TX fires woman for marrying a sex offender: An Odessa woman is suing the county after she lost her job. The reason she was fired? She married a man on the public registry. Though she worked as a juvenile probation officer, her husband had absolutely no contact with the teens. They fired her on association alone. Now she's suing the county; in the suit, Shirley Raymond is seeking $90,000 in lost income and benefits, $750,000 in future loss of income and $1.5 million for mental anguish, pain and suffering, in addition to reinstatement to her job. Idaho Republicans protest the reading of a sex offender bill: Midway through the afternoon, House Minority Leader Representative John Rusche (D-Lewiston) asked for a full reading of a 29-page Senate Bill dealing with sex offender registration.  Immediately, many chairs emptied on the floor.  After a few pages, Republicans started speaking out. "Mr. Speaker, I protest this," Representative JoAn Wood (R-Rigby) said from her seat on the floor.  "I feel sorry for the clerk to have to read this.  And not only that, I feel sorry for those of us that have to sit and hear this." Wood said she didn't think bill language involving descriptions of sex crimes should be read on the House floor.  She said it was more tolerable in it's one legally-required reading in committee. "Even though it is the law, I think it's inappropriate that it be read fully, in its entirety, and I would ask unanimous consent that we cease from reading the bill further.  Thank you Mr. Speaker," Representative Stephen Hartgen (R-Twin Falls) said. Democrats kept quiet, and the clerk stopped reading.  The bill passed.  Rusche said he did not object to stopping the bill reading because he understood the concerns. -- They SHOULD be apologizing to those who are forced to live under their latest law.

Daniel R. Narron: This piece of shit teenager targets people with his car-

"Daniel R. Narron, 19, was arrested Friday and charged with attempted murder, attempted malicious wounding by mob, hit-and-run driving and misuse of the sex offender registry, said state police Sgt. Thomas Molnar. The victim called Hopewell police, who requested that Virginia State Police investigate the case. "From my understanding, Narron knew who this person was based information that Narron had previously obtained from the web site," Molnar said. "And he began harassing him about being a sex offender based on that information from the web site. Narron recognized him as a registered sex offender." "The public web site is out there for the public to use for informational purposes," Molnar said. "But Narron went above and beyond that. He took the information that he received from the web site and harassed this guy based on him being a sex offender."

UPDATE: This asshat got a whopping 11 months in jail :

Daniel R. Narron of Hopewell pleaded guilty in Hopewell Circuit Court to attempted unlawful wounding, a felony, and to disorderly conduct and hit and run, both misdemeanors.

Approving the terms of the agreement, Judge Samuel E. Campbell sentenced Narron to five years for the felony and 12 months for each misdemeanor charge, but the judge suspended all of the jail time. Narron, who has spent about 11 months in jail, was expected to be released today.

Also today, three co-defendants entered pleas to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and failure to report an accident. Each was convicted and told the charges would be dismissed after one year if the defendants remain on good behavior._____________________________________________________________

Why waste money on educating our youth, eh? Its far easier to catch them if they are dumber than the pursuers. Only problem is, the pursuers will come out of that same uneducated batch.

Judge T. Jordan Gallagher, 16th Judicial District court judge, Illinois: In ruling on a case where a low level registrant was serving as coach of a youth baseball team, Judge Gallagher sentences the man to electronic home monitoring,  24 months of a specialized probation for sex offenders and ordered him to re-enroll in a counseling program that he participated in following his original arrest. He was also ordered to undergo a new psychiatric evaluation, despite evaluations showing the registrant has no attraction to boys. In addition, Gallagher gives us this comment:

“You are a sex offender and there are rules, and whether you like them or not, you’ve got to follow them. You’re a second-class citizen and will be for the rest of your life.” Judges are lowest class.

 Tuscumbia AL police Chief Tony Logan: Logan is a special case because he's not only a small town cop, he's a police chief currently serving probation for DUI. How he even has the job is beyond me.  Manda Hicks, Bandera Co. Sheriff's Office: There is something special about small town Sheriff's Offices. It seems fitting to have someone named "Hicks" working at a hick-town sheriff's office. The News media really deserve an award just because they published this BS, but this woman deserves it more. Supposedly there is this network of sex offenders telling people where the best places to hide and possibly re-offend are, and some Podunk town in Texas is allegedly on this list. I never even heard of Bandera until now, but Hicks lets out a real gem of a bad quote. "They might be communicating with each other," Hicks said. "So we are trying to find out if there's a sex offender network." Earth to Manda, now we know you exist. Don't worry, most of us have no desire to live in the sticks and chase tumbleweeds and tip cows.

Matt Rodriguez, Lebanon OH city councilman: Matt Rotriguez is a big fat fish in a tiny pond. He makes the list for complaining taxpayer dollars are "wasted" on giving assistance to a disabled person because he is on the sex offender list.

"A Lebanon councilman said he is concerned taxpayer dollars are being used to house convicted sex offenders who are also classified as having mental illnesses.... Rodriguez has receipts of payment that shows the housing for one resident who is also listed on the Warren County Sheriff’s list of convicted sex offenders was being paid for by MHRS through an intermediary." And yet this fat bastard hasn't missed many meals or many opportunities to piss off his constituents.

Cal Ludeman, MN ex-gov Tim Pawlenty aide and Commissioner of Human Services: Ludeman, now what a fitting name. He is a very lewd man. Ludeman screwed the public and registrants alike when he edited an official report on Minnesota's sex offender treatment programs to reflect Pawlenty's views on the subject.He should have been in the the Hardest Fall but he was never cited for lying to legislators.

A report on Minnesota's sex-offender program delivered to legislators in the final days of the Pawlenty administration was heavily edited by a top political appointee to reflect the former governor's skepticism about the effectiveness of treatment and to delete arguments for expanded community resources for offenders. A copy of the original report obtained by the Star Tribune shows more than 35 redactions in 63 pages, including complete paragraphs describing community treatment strategies. The original draft was written by teams of state and community mental health professionals. Cal Ludeman... [stated] that he edited the mandated report because "it was promising too much'' and the administration preferred to continue its emphasis on tougher prison sentences for sex offenders.

Ken Oswalt, Licking County OH prosecutor: Small town "justice" is rarely justice, even if that small hick town is nort of the Mason-Dixon line, and the thought of convicting a 12 year old for sex crimes is pretty repugnant unless you are a small town pol. Enter Ken Oswalt, who is appealing an Ohio Supreme conviction against a 12 year old boy who had apparently mutually consensual sex with an 11 year old boy.

"Justice Judith Ann Lanzinger wrote in the court's opinion."When an adult engages in sexual conduct with a child under the age of 13, it is clear which party is the offender and which is the victim. But when two children under the age of 13 engage in sexual conduct with each other, each child is both an offender and a victim, and the distinction between those two terms breaks down." Utah had a similar case a few years ago.

Mike DeWine, Ohio Attorney General: What is it about Ohio pols this year? This guy can't even get his stats right. You can watch this numbnut in action HERE, but below is a news story that sums it up nicely. COLUMBUS-- As he rolled out a new plan to protect Ohio kids from sex offenders, Attorney General Mike DeWine described predators as "clowns," "scum" and even "jackasses." "They're literally out there like sharks and they're going to hit just as fast as they can. We're going to hit back," DeWine said.  The "Crimes Against Children Initiative" includes a new unit at the Bureau of Investigation.   The plan is to hire 15 experts who will investigate child pornography cases online. The program also expands the number of special prosecutors in the Attorney General's office, creates a rapid response team, provides specialized training for local law enforcement, and aims to raise public awareness about convicted sex offenders who have not complied with registration laws. DeWine said plans for the program had been in the works weeks before a high profile sex abuse scandal broke out at Penn State University, but the case is a reminder. "My fear is that people will look at the tragedy of Penn State and say, 'Well that was over there' and not realize it happens every single day," DeWine said.

Lisa Riniker, Grant Co. WI DA: Riniker is getting sued over prosecuting a six year old boy for sexual assault after he was caught playing doctor. If that wasn't enough to make her case for DA of the year (only in this case DA means Dumb Ass), she obtained a gag order to prevent the parents from speaking publicly about the case. She bypassed the parents and sent a court summons directly to the kid (threatening to lock him up if he doesn't show up), and is even demanding the kid sign an admission of guilt. Typical shameful behavior from another Nifong wannabe.
